Is appointment transportation available?

Monroe Manor is able to assist our residents with appointment transportation. We make arrangements with family and friends to accompany residents. Monroe Manor has a transport vehicle with limited availability. Local handicap van transports are available for a fee.

Are residents able to leave and return to the Manor as they please?

Yes, as long as it is safe and approved by the family/guardian and a doctor. Staff must be notified each time a resident is leaving the property.

Do physicians stop by to do rounds?

No, typically residents must go to the clinic to see a MD, but our care staff is present 24/7 to accommodate our residents.

Are residents ever asked to leave or move out?

A person is only asked to leave under serious circumstances, where it is absolutely necessary. Some reasons may include aggressive violence, sliding scale diabetics, or an inability to remain safe to themselves or others.

Is there an event room for special occasions (i.e. holidays, birthdays)?

Yes, Monroe Manor has five areas, each able to seat 25 people. These are free to use, tough we always appreciate a donation. We supply coffee, ice and water. Anything additional is the responsibility of the participants. *Please no red beverages due to carpet stains.

How are the meals at Monroe Manor?

Our meals are absolutely delicious! Each is home cooked almost entirely from scratch.

If my loved one is forgetful, must they live in the Memory Care area?

Not necessarily. If your loved one wanders outside or into others’ rooms continuously without constant intervention then yes, we would like them in the memory area. Every case is different, and decisions are made based on assessments and family involvement.

Can out of town family members stay during visits?

Yes, if we have room we are happy to accommodate family visitors free of charge. If their stay extends more than three days, we do appreciate donations. Our staff must approve small children and dependent individuals for stay-in visits.
